Question about Israel geography?

Update:

Years ago I saw photos of a really high wall being built. Where the fighting is going on, I guess there is no wall.

There is a wall between Israel and Gaza and the fighting is currently inside Gaza. The wall was built to stop suicide bombers and it's been very successful in that mission.

Unfortunately, the wall does nothing to stop the rockets. Also, it appears to be compromised with tunnels.

There is no border wall between Israel and the Gaza, There is a fence.

The Israel−Gaza barrier is a border barrier first constructed by Israel in 1994 between the Gaza Strip and Israel. The barrier was extended in 2005 to cover the border between the Gaza Strip and Egypt (the Egypt-Gaza barrier).

The fence runs along the entire land border of the Gaza Strip. It is made up of wire fencing with posts, sensors and buffer zones on lands bordering Israel, and concrete and steel walls on lands bordering Egypt.
