There are plenty of time shares on the market for discount prices since most people find them a waste of money. There is also very little resale market for them, so do not expect to get back what you put in. You can probably just do an internet search for "timeshare sale <name of city>"

You'll only want to buy one resale from an owner since buying through a resort means you'll pay through the nose. Try timeshare resale websites like BuyaTimeshare.com, Redweek.com or MyResortNetwork.com and you'll be able to search for a timeshare based on resort name or location.
