Can I get fired if I had a doctors note?
So I started working for this company about a month ago, and we'll I became sick last Saturday and the place thought it was strep and gave me antibiotics, I later on found out it is hand foot and mouth disease. It's rare for adults to get this, but oh well. My doctor said I should void work until monday. That's only three days I'm going to be missing. Are they legally allowed to get rid of me because of that? And I'm on month probation starting out the job.

If you're on probation, that means they can get rid of you for any reason, and they don't have to explain it to you.
That being said, as long as you called in as soon as you knew and provided the doctor's notice, I would hope that they would not hold that against you. However, legally, they can get rid of you for that or any other reason.

How did you come to think being sick stopped the rules from applying?
