Fun RPGMMO game?

I am looking for a game (RPG and/or MMO) that lets you choose your character and personalize them and give them weapons and stuff. I tried playing SMITE and I didn't enjoy that set up. Also has to be downloadable on PC and preferably free.

    Dragon's prophet and Tera, both great, particularly liked tera because of the action combat style

    Well if you are looking for games that are free your best best is adventure quest but thats is quite crappy the two most popular MMORPG's are LOL (League Of Legends) and WOW (World Of Warcraft) but I think recently they made LOL free and WOW you can play till lvl 30 as a trial.

    You should check out TERA. The only downside is though you can't customize your weapons unless you pay for it.
