i have 1982 Monte Carlo with a 406 stroker?

My transmission bolt back out ,i have to tighten then once a month

    A 406 is merely a 400- bored .030" oversize. ........no "stroker" to it...... Check your harmonic dampener or flexplate to make sure you have "400" externall-balanced pieces in there. If you have a "350" internal-balance flexplate or dampener it's gonna have a cranktrain vibration...... and eventually you'll have a busted crankshaft.

    bad bolts. wrong length or something crazy. they should not back out if tightend correctly to start with
