Samsung galaxy s4 mini / s5 mini?
Tomorrow I'm going to get a new phone, and I've decided on either Samsung galaxy s4 mini or s5 mini. Galaxy s4 mini is considerably cheaper than s5 but Galaxy s5 is water-resistant, and has more ''internal memory'' that is, you can download more apps and stuff. Camera quality is the same on both.
But I think this will be my only chance to get a new phone, and I want to buy a decent one? My parents say that being waterproof or not doesn't matter much, and it's true s5 is a lot more expensive but I think water-resistance gives more advantage, since you can film underwater (although I highly doubt my parents will let me) and you can stay in the rain and not worry about your phone.
If I buy Galaxy s4 mini, I don't have to pay for it, and even though it's not waterproof it'll still be a decent phone, but if I decide on s5 mini I'll probably have to pay half the price and get piggy-bankrupted though the phone will be waterproof and probs better in some ways.
What do you recommend?
Also emojis are important to me as well xD
The date became delayed because of the weather. Possibly I'm going to go buy my phone on July 31 or on August 1.

I have a Samsung s4 mini and I personally think it is a great phone, I've had no problems with it although I find that all Samsung phones have battery problems. I charge my phone all night so this is probably the cause of my battery problems. to be honest the s5 isn't really worth it, like I can take my s4 mini in the rain and it doesn't affect the screen at all.
I would choose the s4 mini, great camera quality and battery life is honestly great:)

Samsung Galaxy S5 mini revealed that the device would have IP67 certification for water and dust. That news was confirmed on Friday by Samsung New Zealand on the manufacturer's website. There you will find some warranty information related to the Samsung Galaxy S5 mini. According to the site, the warranty is excluded if the Samsung Galaxy S5 mini is submerged in water for 30 minutes or more. If that sounds familiar, it is because the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active have the same warranty exclusions and both of those models carry an IP67 certification. Common sense tells us that the Samsung Galaxy S5 mini will also carry the same feature. And since the IP67 certification covers devices submerged in 1 meter (3.2 feet) for up to 30 minutes, it all dovetails perfectly with the idea that the bite-sized version of Sammy's flagship will be IP67 certified as well.

If tomorrow is the case, you do not have a choice because the S5 mini is not available.
That said, the S5 Mini is water resistant -- not water proof. The S5 Mini is not designed for being underwater for a significant amount of time. (You can read reviews on the regular S5 about people who tried.) If you can wait, the S5 Mini is supposed to be a better unit. I'm ready for a new phone and I am waiting. Personally, I think it is worth the money and extra wait, but it is ultimately a personal choice.

I would pay the extra for the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini as it also has a Quad-core processor compared to the Dual-core processor in the S4 Mini.
Otherwise I would probably pick something like a Sony Xperia Z1 Compact if you're looking for a smaller screen sized phone.

Would recommend the S5. Has good reviews and true, the water resistance is an excellent feature! Whatever you do though, don't buy an S3.

S5 for the win! The only con of owning an S5 is if your nails are too short. S5 owners will know!

I would recommend s5 mini because its faster and it can ressist water longer than s4 mini
