Hell yeah it is. If mcdonalds can afford to pay people this amount in the Netherlands, there's no reason they can't afford to do it everywhere.
Which means, the policies in place that cause them to lie about the amount of money they actually have to put into their company would have to vanish too. Altering the amount of laws their share holders can break.
I think it would make society much better when they have to fix their company from legislature. Honestly, they won't fix it them selves. So why not make them work for it.
Plus, the whole game is to stop job creation through profit growth and to call that cutting costs. Well if you want to do that, you should pay the lowest waged person at least $20, because it's not like your making any new jobs to create competition anyways. Just starvation which creates competition over limitation.

If an employer is forced to pay entry level employees 20 an hour you will see hiring freezes salary freezes and layoffs. Not to mention the cost of goods and living will skyrocket to compensate for the money going to payroll. Raising minimum wage will make things much worse

Businesses that cannot be moved elsewhere will stay put to pay $20 an hour; such as MacDonald in Netherlands. It is impracticable to operate from the US to deliver fast food service in Netherlands.

I believe there should be no minimum wage. An employer should not be threatened with violance for offering a job at any wage.

Who will not like the money from the sky? And you should know that it is a main cause of bubble and burst. But never mind, you are not classical economist anyway.

I believe the minimum wage should, and needs to be raised. However raising the minimum wage to $20 in a short time span would have extreme effects on an economy. Several studies have shown that an increase in the minimum wage to $10.10 would have little to no impact on job growth/inflation, however $20 is an EXTREME jump up from that. Most small businesses would not be able to adjust their business model to stay afloat with such a high minimum wage. That's why it's so essential to create legislation that raises the minimum wage in a responsible manner over time. This will benefit the workers on the bottom and will give businesses the time and resources it needs to adjust the way they operate.
