Amazon Shipping: Return Policy Question!!!!?

So 2 days ago I purchased a lens for my camera. I decided to buy from Amazon and I chose a used one to knock some price off. The vendor is not an actual Amazon store so its from another place. Anyway, it is in fact in the U.S. I live in Pennsylvania. I think it said missouri or something when at check out.

The package is shipping via USPS. The expected delivery date is AUGUST 20th. I'm not waiting 20 days for my package to come. It should not take that long. Usually tracking services from amazon are pretty accurate. The [ackage is in transit.

Question,

If i decide to buy a another one from amazon to recieve the package before i go back to school, can I return the one that i initially bought?

If i don't open it of course.

Sorry guys but 20 days to get to my house is ridiculous.

Return policy will be up to the seller; Amazon will not intervene on something they are not fulfilling. Amazon's usual good tracking is only as good as the information the vendor provides to them when it is the vendor that is fulfilling.

Because it is a used lens, it is doubtful the seller would allow a return but check with them nonetheless if you are serious about wanting to return it and seeing if you can buy another for more but getting it sooner.

I have recently bought some items from other vendors as you have, and the delivery estimates were pretty far out there, but once the vendor got them into the carrier's hands they arrived pretty quickly and beat the "estimate" by several days.

Since you will for sure be out the cost of the return postage (and insurance, if you are smart), and maybe a restocking charge, seems like you would be quickly way in the hole to return this one and pay more for another somewhere else. Forgetting the annoyance of this delay, would it be worth it for you to run off in another direction now? If it was me, I'd just let things take their course now and make a note not to buy from this vendor again.

Amazon Prime does not apply to the sellers. Amazon Prime applies to the things Amazon ships - not outside sellers.

As far as this delivery goes - it would have given you an estimated delivery time before order was placed - so this should have not been a surprise.

I would cancel the order if it has not shipped out. I wouldn't wait 20 days either, that's why I have amazon prime!
