If I want to be a nurse in the Air Force, would I already have to have a nursing degree?

If you want to be a nurses aid or an LPN, the Air Force will train you for that after you enlist.

If you want to be an RN, then you already need your BSN and certification before you swear in.

Yes, Nurses are Officers, to be an Officer you need a Bachelors Degree. For Nurses that means a Bachelors of Science in Nursing.

You could either get your BSN and apply or you could work on a BSN while doing ROTC and get commissioned through that route.

Another less traveled road is to enlist (probably in a medical field), knock off a lot of prereqs in your spare time (which would probably take several years) and apply for the nurse commissioning program, where they would send you to finish your BSN earn a commission.
