Yes of course. Id reckon most on here would have? unless they are all kids of about 12, 13.
I watched my first VHS video when i was a kid of about 8 or 9 in the late 80s... It was Superman the movie ! one of the ones Christopher Reeve was in.. When DVD became popular around 2001 ... and took over from VHS, i was about 19,20 then... and..... sometimes would use the VHS player to record stuff on the tv.. but when it comes to movies would mostly buy dvds... from then on

Sure. I still have old movies on VHS that I watch occasionally.
In fact, I think I still have some Beta tapes in the house somewhere. I don't have a tape machine to play them, though.

Yup still works, watched alot of Disney movies with it, and the occasional "Three Stooges", But where I'm from, its VCR, never VHS. Probably because I'm American and southern. Still have a ton of tapes.

I think you mean a VCR.... VHS was name of one of the two tape formats they played (they other was Betamax, which, though it offered superior video quality, got killed in the market and eventually died out).
In any case, VHS was really the standard until the DVD player came out in 1996. And the DVD player didn't become commonplace until the early 2000's (when the average price dropped below $50 in 2003).
So yeah, I used a VHS format VCR player at home. Hell, I still have one somewhere. They're not that old. Only people between the ages of 1 and 16 or so wouldn't have some memory of them.
If you think that makes me "old', I'll do you one better. I remember a time before there was an internet. XD

yes, all the time. we used to rent movies from blockbuster and i used to buy vhs tapes from entertainment stores. i remember getting a hi-fi stereo vhs player from radio shack when i was 15 (i'm almost 29 now) and i thought it was so cool to finally get a vhs player with stereo sound...until i got a dvd player. vhs players and vhs tapes look so ancient now with the rise of dvd's and blu-ray.
