Razer Kraken 7.1 has no sound?
I just took them out of the box, plugged them in, and they don't work. They only sound it will play is the skype sound and the windows test sound.

If it's playing sounds, then your computer recognizes your headset. It sounds like programs aren't set to play sounds through your headset however. Open the volume mixer by right clicking on the speaker/audio symbol at the bottom right, and it should show which programs are playing through which outputs. They will only show up if the program is open, so Skype should show on it.
Press the windows button and type "audio devices" in and "Manage Audio Devices" should pop up. In that, go to playback, and find your headset, and set it to the default device. Most programs should run through your headphones now after you restart them.
You might have to set skype and certain other programs to use your headset manually in their audio options somewhere. For Skype you just go to "Call", "Audio Settings..." and change the speaker.
