I need help with verizon phone!?

I have an iPhone 4. I bought a new phone which is the htc rezound and I took it to the verizon store to get a SIM card and got it programmed and switched over. The weird thing is that people text me and the messages show up on my old iPhone instead of my new phone. The new phone still works and calls people. How do I solve this?

    You've to tell Verizon that the older phone is still connected to your account. You've to deactivate that iPhone 4.

    you need to tell verizon that they need to cancel the service on your iPhone and forward all calls and messages to your new phone.
