my puppy ate a hibiscus flower?

my 3 month, 3 pound yorkie puppy just are a hibiscus flower. Aren't these toxic to dogs? what should I do please help!!!!!

    Yes they are but he will likely be fine. Just keep an eye on him and if he shows any signs of upset stomach you might want to call your vet but I know some dogs have eaten Hibiscus flowers and have been perfectly fine but yes they are toxic and no you shouldn't let your dog eat them "bc it doesn't effect them" it could be doing damage on the inside, so try to avoid the hibiscus plant at all costs :) hope your pup will be alright!

    They're not toxic, its actually a food item. hibiscus Is very good for people with hypertension. I have hibiscus tea every day. My 30lb dog has "stolen" my tea when I left him alone with it and hes fine... he steals my drinks all the time. A fresh flower is not as potent as the same weight in dried flowers.

    why worry? if it dies you can always buy a new puppy
