Can the celtics get into the playoffs this year?

I get it, they're bad, but hear me out. Rondo is brilliant and truly makes his teammates better, Sullinger can grab boards with the best of them (despite his height), Olynk is a good scorer and is getting better fast, Green is already a solid scorer, Bradley is an amazing defender, and they've got solid role players in Zeller & Smart (who are loaded with potential) and Wallace & Bass (who give good production and are great locker room presences). Why can't this team make a run at a playoff spot?

The Celtics won't be tanking but they will be rebuilding. I say they can because they already have some decent players,a good coach, and Danny is one of the best GM's in the league even though I don't see why he is trying to trade Jared Sullinger. I think Tyler Zeller,Evan Turner,Marcus Smart, and James Young can develop great into Boston. Only if Evan Turner stays nice in the locker room. Phil Pressey is a little Rondo and I don't see how he went undrafted. Since they didn't get Kevin Love there is a good chance Rondo will have to get traded.

If they try they could, but pretty sure they'll be tanking this year and rondo will be traded before the end of the new season.

I think they fell that if you haven't got a contender for the championship, there's no point battling for mediocrity and just rebuild

The Celtics are rebuilding. Which means they're only focus to lose much games as possible to get those round picks.
