Best LIZARD pet? (READ CLOSELY PLEASE)?

Looking for a new LIZARD to add to the family. I have a 50 gallon LONG, and want to fill it with something nice. I own 3 leopard geckos, and a chinese water dragon, however have also owned:

-plated lizards, which I find generally uninteresting

-bearded dragons, which, though they come in cool colors, are too common and have really just become the generic reptile pet option

-crested geckos, which, although I love their easy maintenance, are too common as well

-chameleons, which, are not difficult to keep, but I prefer more handleable pets.

I've considered uromastyx and blue tongues, but they both make my wallet cry (however aren't something I won't still consider) and while I could always get something like a monitor, iguana and tegu and upgrade later, my living situation doesn't allow for anything bigger than what can live forever in a 50 gallon.

NO SNAKES. My landlord would **** on my pillow then kick me out if I brought a snake into the house, haha. Any creative suggestions? LIZARDS ONLY. No amphibians, insects or arachnids please.

If you'd like a uromastyx or blue tongue, but can't afford one, you might check pet rescues and the like near you, and see if you can get a "slightly used" one in your price range <g>

Also, you might go to a good pet store or reptile breeder near you, and see what they *have*. No good picking the perfect lizard if you can't actually obtain it.

completely off topic... I saw you mention in an answer the other day that it's dangerous to breed together 2 different albino leopard gecko strains (or something to that effect)--can I ask why?

I suggest a glass lizard aka (leg less lizard)

    Or a sailfin dragon

    Or a basilisk

    Flying gecko

    Frilled dragon

    Etc
