How to take a pill?

I used to have big problems with this same thing. I was always scared that I'd end up choking and that the pill would go down the wrong hole.

I've realised that it's better to buy the pills that are soft coated, and smooth.

My tips would be to put one in your mouth, get a bottle of water (always use water as it is better and makes it easier to go down because water isn't thick like juice or coke) and make your cheeks puff out with the water and pill in your mouth. Then swish it about a bit, like you're using mouthwash and then (by this time you cant feel where the pill is) swallow the mouthful. The pill will go down with it and you should hardly feel it because it's too busy floating around.

Also, practice with things like millions (those little tiny sweets) and tictacs. That sort of gets you prepared for the future of swallowing pills and takes away the fear of choking a bit.

Put te pill in the middle of your tongue and then drink water and swallow the pill while you are gulping water. If you feel it getting stuck in your throat (might happen the first few times) just keep swallowing until it's clear. Or you can also get a grinder and grind up the pill if you can't swallow it.

take a swallow of water first, then immediately place the pill on your tongue and take another two swallows. The first swallow creates a streamway that makes the pill go down easier.
