No,only a part of the village and there is still fighting.

    1) It's not ISIS, it's many terrorist groups, some of them rivals such as ISIS and Al Nusra, fighting unitedly because they are surrounded by the Lebanese army on one side, and the Syrian Army and Hezbollah on the other side.

    2) There are empty mountains separating Lebanon and Syria, parts of them are of Arsal, about 5 thousand fighters are hiding there. Some politicians who support the Syrian revolution were covering them but not anymore. They launched a surprise attack and took over a non-combatant police station and kidnapped 16 of its members, and then they took over military checkpoints and kidnapped 13 soldiers. They also took over a school and a barracks but the army took them back. They are now hiding between civilians and Syrian refugees, they shot at those trying to leave the city and some died.

    3) They have just asked for a ceasefire to leave Lebanon and give back the kidnapped soldiers, they took heavy casualties, on the morning of the second day alone the army found the bodies of 50 dead fighters, on the third day many bodies were found and more then 20 fighters were seen on a video being arrested.

    4) There are twice more Syrian refugees(80 000) in the city then Lebanese and apparently they were helping the fighters.

The Lebanese army are still fighting while trying to negotiate a way to get back the hostages the terrorists took, so far the Lebanese army have an upper hand sadly many soldiers and a few civilians died during this fight ... Hopefully they'll be able to drive them out soon...
