Eyeshadow for dark brown eyes?

I have brown eyes and purple eyeshadow looks great, as well as tan, beige, gold, silver and always use a shimmer. A dark blue liner with a light gold shadow is great.

Depends, are you looking for a good, everyday look? Or are you looking to make your eyes stand out more? For everyday looks, I'd go with a neutral beige with a darker eyeliner. To make them pop, try a dark blue eyeliner. You can keep the shadow neutral as long as your eye liner pops. Another color I've found looks good on my dark brown eyes is a medium purple shadow with brown eye liner.

White, Cream, Beige, Light Brown & Dark Brown are all colours which go best with brown eyes, whereas White, Cream, Light Blue and Dark Blue go best with blue eyes.

For starters I would stay with light pinks and browns. Once you get better you can start doing the darker hues and add whatever color you want. Purples and golds look good, and I would ALWAYS wear a shimmer with eye shadows.
