Would you date someone who had a troubled sibling?

Would you turn someone down because they have an older sibling who is a convicted felon or an older sibling who has a mental disorder like schizophrenia? What if that persons older sibling was both a convicted felon and diagnose with schizophrenia? Would you still consider dating them and possibly marry into that family? Would you fear that any child you conceive with them may potentially develop this mental disease. Or would you love that person and just accept them not paying too much attention to the their older sibling????

You should love that person. If you don't feel comfortable, then leave. If it were me, I would stay with that person through thick and thin. That is what marriage vows say, anyway. My cousin is troubled and if someone were to stay with me while dealing with him it would mean the absolute world to me. If you care about them, you will want to do whatever you can to help them and their family members, no matter what they've done. You don't have to like the sibling, you have to respect them because you're significant other cares for them.

It's not a disease, anyone can get it at anytime, i really wish they would show you that.

Everybody has a schizophrenic family member and family members who went to jail, so of course.
