I remember stuff from i was 1 year old?

Basicly i remember small parts of my first birthday, the reason why i know i remember this is because i could say detailed information about the surroundings, even though i was never told about them.

I also remember an incident from where i almost drowned, i was 2 years old at the time. I could describe the pool area very detailed, where we had our towels and exactly what happend.

There are a couple of other things i remember, but i know 100% for sure that this is not something i have been told, this is something i remember. I am 18 now and my memory is just fine, even though i could remember key information on almost everything i read from age 9 to 13. My memory was exeptional in that period, but there is a 6 month gap i cant remember anything after i turned 14.

Could someone answer me if this is normal?
