Why are so many of my answers 'hidden' and how do I change that?

I think that there is a new way to sort answers by "relevance" instead of by rating or time of posting, and if it decides that your answer is not as relevant as the others, it will end up being hidden. I asked a question about this a few weeks ago: /question/index?qid=20140... and it seems like no one else but myself had that relevance function, and as a result, no one knew what I was referring to! Do you have it too? I don't have it anymore, and it only appeared on my new Dell's Chrome browser, but not on my old-as-hell-Mac, old Dell, or iPad.

I don't mean to take a jab at you, but I don't think that hiding the answers that the program decides are irrelevant would be too detrimental, because the ones that I saw getting hidden were all one-line or even one-word answers that frankly would not help the asker that much. Try giving more detailed answers and it probably won't happen to you anymore.

To be honest, I have no idea why Yahoo would even consider letting a program hide answers, especially one of THEIR programs. *shudders violently*

I think that their rationale is to try to get the users whose answers were hidden to edit and improve their answers so that they are no longer hidden.
