When your doctor asks if your on any medication, does birth control count?

I have to go to the doctor next week and I'd rather not tell them that I am on birth control... It's the depo shot

Yes, it counts, and yes, you should tell them. There are legitimate medical risks to taking any kind of medication and the Depo shot is no exception.

Surely the doctor already knows anyway? The doctor has access to your medical records you know!

Always tell the truth to a doctor - your life depends on it.

    The doctor needs to know.

100% yes,, very important that a doctor knows this.

Blood clotting issues, hormone levels, etc.

You even have to tell them about your vitamins.
