What should I see/do in montreal?

You did not say WHEN you will be here. And you didn't say WHAT your interests are. So any suggestions will be pretty generic.

- Check out the Old Port area, maybe take a dinner cruise around the harbour.

- Go downtown and stroll around to see stores, restaurants, bars, clubs etc.

- Go to the Botanical Gardens, Insectarium, or the Biodome

- Take in a local sporting event if any home games are taking place, you have the Canadiens (NHL), Alouettes (CFL), and Impact (MLS) at the pro level, but there are also local college level teams.

- Go walking/hiking on Mount Royal and check out the view from the lookout at the cross.

- Visit St. Joseph's Oratory and walk up the steps, or see the beauty of the stained glass and architecture inside.

- Take a ride up the funicular at the Olympic Stadium.

- Visit the Casino if you are of legal betting/drinking age. Visit La Ronde - Six Flags amusement park if you are not.

- Go shopping or even just strolling around the giant "Underground City". It is a series of tunnels that connect the various malls, commercial office towers, and apartments to the subway system, so no one has to step outside in winter.
