Steps for pre-oil hair treatment?

I am african american and I was wondering the steps I should take for the pre-oil treatment. I know I am suppose to put coconut oil on my hair first then rinse it off but afterwards should I use shampoo or two different conditioners (protein and then moisture conditioner). Thanks!

    Coconut oil is the conditioner. You don't need conditioner if you're applying coconut oil. Just pre-poo with coconut oil and then use a gentle shampoo and you're done.
