PINK FLOYD FANS?
Today, if given the choice, who would you rather see?
Roger Waters' THE WALL
-or-
David Gilmour perform THE DIVISION BELL?
We're talking about today, not the past. Would you rather see The Wall, or hear Gilmour and The Division Bell in concert?

I've actually seen both while the band was still together, well obviously Roger wasn't with the band for the latter, but chances are you can still go see Roger kicking that dead horse The Wall again, it seems to be a hobby of his, as anything he's done without Dave and Richard's collaboration has been pretty much off the radar, Lyrical genius yes, but writing musical scores aint his strong point, Chances of seeing Dave again are pretty slim, his arthritis is getting the best of him and any tour dates are rare if at all, So if you ever get the chance jump on it as it could be your last chance, And the opposite holds true for Dave, anything he puts out there sells, and I imagine the new Pink Floyd album The Endless River due out in October will sell pretty well also, Again without Roger, Bet he's livid, From what I understand it consists of a lot of studio recordings him and Richard did before Richards death, and as the real feud in the band was between Roger and Richard my guess is this is just Dave's way of kicking Roger in the crotch one last time for Richard, He could have called it anything and it would have still sold, But he chose Pink Floyd, So if there are any tour dates announced I'd suggest you unass that wallet jump on them tickets quick before there gone,

Although the both albums are my favourite albums and I listened them so many times. If you want to categorize the liking level so definitely I would go for The Wall at number one and then comes The Devision Bell. I personally like the concept of the album, as the album's concept deals largely with themes of abandonment and personal isolation (which was really different and unique concept at that time). It was first conceived during their 1977 In the Flesh Tour, when bassist and lyricist Roger Waters's frustration with the perceived boorishness of the spectators became so acute that he imagined building a wall between the performers and audience. And just for your information, the album (The Wall) was one of the best selling of 1980, and by 1999 it had sold over 23 million RIAA certified units (11.5 million albums) in the United States. Rolling Stone magazine placed The Wall at number 87 on its list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Well.. It all depends, when you say roger waters- the wall it makes me assume that Gilmour will not be there. In that case, then i would rather the see the Division bell. However, if Gilmour was there at the wall concert than perhaps i would rest her see that because his guitar solos on that album are explosive and impeccable... But all they all?
So to reiterate my answer, Gilmour is the man i want to see. So if he is in the wall concert than that is one i would rather see, if he isnt, then the division bell.

I would rather see The Wall, even though The Wall isn't one of my favorite Pink Floyd albums.
