Is the Netgear N300 Wireless Router reliable?

Is the Netgear N300 Wireless Router reliable? I needed a new router but when I went into BestBuy today the saleswoman swore up and down that if I bought the N300 it would drop the signal all the time for my laptop and kindle (only wifi electronics).

Any unbiased reviews?

    All Netgear routers are VERY reliable. I never fit anything but Netgear or 2-Wire.

    Netgear isn't a brand I favor either.

    I'd suggest Trendnet or TP-Link instead.
