Petsmart vs. me?
So I want to know who was in the wrong in this situation. I am a foster parents for a litter of kittens that are still nursing on their mom, but I've been advertising that they need homes! So one of my friends said she wanted to look at them so we met at a big shopping center parking lot in front of petsmart, (we were wayyy in the back not even close to the building) I letting her see the kittens and then the manager of petsmart walks all the way to us and asks to talk to me, of course I say yes, he told me I had to leave, I cannot sell animals on petsmart property. And I said well good thing I'm not selling them, they aren't even weaned yet!! On top of all that I don't believe petsmart owns the shopping center parking lot.. He said I was stealing business??? Can someone expIain to me who was right in this situation?

Sorry Sweetie, the manager was correct!!! When they rent the building, they rent the land that goes with it like the parking lot!!! You aren't supposed to compete with their business on their property & technically it is their property & you were competing!!! WHY didn't your friend come to your house to see the kittens since she couldn't take one with her anyway??? I suggest that when the time comes for the kittens to really be adopted out that you do it from your home or NO where near Petsmart!!! The manager has already warned you & the next time he might call the cops. FREE kittens WON'T be worth a night in jail!!!

They have the right to restrict the use of their property (including the parking lot) in any way they wish. You're at fault here. Plus, unweaned, unvaccinated kittens should NOT be taken to public places where they can be exposed to all manner of diseases.
