There are dozens of good sites to buy online depending on where you live. Just make sure that you ae a good enough bike mechanic to assemble your new bike. Figure on 30-45 minutes for an experienced mechanic, 2-3 times as long for a novice

There's not a bicycle made that comes "ready to ride" out of the box. Brakes need to be centered & adjusted, derailleurs may need to be fine tuned & most importantly...the wheels need to be checked for correct spoke tension. They BUILD them at the factory. They don't TRUE them up at the factory. Got a wheel truing stand & spoke tension meter?

One bike shop near me gives a LIFETIME service warranty on all their bikes - regardless of brand. http://bigshark.com/about/policies-and-shipping-pg... Now...at $70 a pop per tune-up, I've $AVED $210 on 3 tune-ups. Which is the bigger bargain now...the internet bike or one from a REAL bicycle shop?
