Computer Problem?
I was online earlier today on my dell computer and it just shut down and logged off. When I pressed thw power button it took me to the login and then the black screen thing happened. I've had that happen before but it would always work after awhile but this time it didn't. I took the battery out and held the power button for a minute still nothing happened. Then I shut it down once more but when turning the power button on this time the first dell logo just pops but and keeps doing that it won't even go to the login screen. Please any help? It's windows 7

Did you try to start in safe mode? Press F8 as it is starting. That may get you to where can co into your control panel and see how much RAM it has compared to what was installed.
If it will not start in safe mode but will stay at the login screen if you do nothing then your power supply is probably good. If it shuts off by itself then you may have a bad power supply or worse the processor is shot and overheating. It could also be the fans or a bad boot sector in the hard drive so you really have to think of anything that sounds different of if it feel hotter.

when this happened to me I remember someone telling me that it had something to do with the ram card and sometimes that could cause it to mess up.
