Robin has been, battling depression for the past three decades; he has been taking Anti depressants. But it didn't make his depressions go away. Most celebrities battle a lot of demons in their personal lives. They make a lot of money then they begin to make bad choices.
He managed, to keep his depressions quiet from his fans, family and friends. He just decided that he couldn't take it anymore, so he took his own life.

Robin Williams suffered from severe depression and Parkinson's disease.
He was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease only a year before his death.
