By 'upper class' I understand the capitalist class who own the means of production.
A is wrong, because only a tiny minority form the capitalist class (the one percent).
B is wrong as the capitalists are extremely wealthy and powerful.
D is wrong as the US is a democracy in name only.
C is correct.
