is battery acid cancerous?
does dry battery acid from like double aa batteries cause cancer? i have ocd with batteries for some reason and i came across a wii remote with leaked batteries. my dad told me that battery acid causes cancer but i can't really find any articles online that says that battery acid causes cancer. can anyone enlighten me and help alleviate my worries? thanks.

You are fine. Lead-acid batteries contain lead, which is cancerous, but no one has AA lead acid batteries. If you eat the batteries from the remote, it would be an issue, but you are not going to ear them, are you?

Unless you are exposing yourself to the acid for extremely prolonged periods of time and purposely rubbing it on your skin you will be fine. Just simply take out the batteries, throw them away, and wash your hands thoroughly, and there no chance of you getting cancer from the acid.
