Neither. A mirror is a reversed image, so it is not truly accurate. A photo (taken properly by someone who knows what they are doing.... NOT a cell phone selfie), will give a good image, but it is only 2 dimension, so you still do not know how you look to others. Have you ever noticed how people can look very different from one photo to the next? That comes down to many factors, the main being it is not a 3 dimension image.

Bottom line, you never really know how you truly look. The best you have is a reasonable representation, but you are never going to know EXACTLY how you look to other people.

It is truly meaningless. Live your life and quit being obsessed by something so relatively trivial as how you look.

A mirror is a reflection - THE IMAGE IS REVERSED.

A photo taken with the front facing camera on a cell phone is also reversed, just like a mirror reflection.

A real photo from a real camera is not reversed.

    I'm guessing you're blonde . . . am I right?

A mirror gives you a REVERSED image, doesn't it?

A Photo gives a TRUE image. It's how others see you.

    Either works just fine.

Especially if you realize the mirror image you see of yourself is reversed left-right.

I had an out of body experience and just stared at my body for hours. Then God said "Hey, are you coming or going? Make up your mind." So that was the end of that.

OR...you could have enough confidence in yourself that it is not of major importance.
