why am I so scared to talk to a girl I never met before?
I'm 18 going on 19 and i just started college. I only had one actual girlfriend in my life and only had sex once. We were having a big party last night (dancing and music included) my mind kept telling me to just go up to a girl and ask her to dance. But i ended up chickening out. Now i can't stop thinking to myself on how big of a p*ssy i am. I have the balls to serve in the Army, but somehow i don't have the balls to speak to a woman i never met before.

Most of us are a bit shy about asking someone to dance. Obviously for fear we will be rejected. I have been rejected before, and i'm not a guy. There is no harm in putting yourself out there, and dancing, striking up conversations, introducing yourself, or even asking someone if they'd like to get together for lunch or ice cream... whatever. The worst they can say is no thanks.. then we move on to the next person.
I'm sure you're a nice guy. Don't call yourself a p*ssy or any other derogatory name. Give yourself a pat on the back for being YOU. Practice self compassion! take care.
