What should i do about this online friend?
So i met someone on xbox live and hes a really nice person but now whenever hes online he just sends me message after message giving me a drama-fest of his life. its simply because im too nice to just ignore someone. he does have personal problems and he said im the closest friend he has (even though weve been friends for about 2 months). its just becoming a huge hastle and dont want to be bothered by him all the time. so my question is should i unfriend him and block him so i dont have to keep going through the drama or should i stay friends with him?
i cant appear offline cause he might join the lobby im in on accident. if i could i would have done that already.

Everyone needs a friend. From the sound s of it he ain't got that many. If it were me, id stay his friend. But then again, that's the type of person i am. I tend to care about others and listen to their problems and if need be, give advice. Again, that's just me . At the very least, tell him how you feel. Im sure he can't read minds now.

To really be a friend, you need to tell the guy that his constant contact is bothersome. I'm sure others have blocked him without a reason. Tell him that you enjoy talking with him, but not every time you log in. Give him a few minutes to complain and ask questions, then if he refuses to stop, block him.

There's an option to "Appear offline" on Xbox live. So you could always appear offline. Or just let him know that you don't want to come across as horrible but you don't want him bothering you all the time.
