Neck Pain and Sore Neck the Same?

Hi Guys help me out here I've been having sharp pain in my neck so I searched stuff on internet why this is and some medical condition symptoms include sore neck so I'm wondering if sore neck and neck pain are same?

    Whether 'sore neck' or 'neck pain,' both are symptoms of TMS (tension myositis syndrome). Best thing to do ? Go to youtube.com and watch "Dr. John Sarno 20/20" and learn about TMS. Once a person understands what TMS is, then the pain often goes away on its own. Good luck.
