If Tiger Woods golf performance was at all affected, it is more due to the psychological impact of the situation as his infidelity affairs was and his life affairs are highly publicized.

Couple with the injuries that he had been through and numerous swing changes, I would say these changes contributed to his performance, in one way or the other.

If TW will not sort this out, he cannot go back to his winning ways, especially the Majors.

I would say, when he was caught cheating + his divorce, his golf performance was greatly affected. Not to mentioned some major Sponsors were discontinuing their contracts with him.

Definitely not a good situation to be in.

It's a compelling argument. There's so many things at play...

Consider his equipment. He won most of his majors with a 43", steel-shafted driver. He went to the Diamana Whiteboard (83g) at 44.5" and won a few more... but when things started to not go so well, he seemed to be on a "club hunt", trying to find a head/shaft combo that would work for him.

His physical ability. Woods was registering 125mph swing speed with regularity. In a recent report, it's now down to 115 (if I only had that golf-related problem lol). He has a fairly aggressive (or violent) swing motion. I've recently taken to comparing it to a running QB that doesn't know how to slide or get out of bounds... eventually, that catches up to you. In Woods' case, about 15 surgeries throughout his career, many to major body parts (Achilles, ACL, back, etc.).

Tiger has been linked to Dr. Anthony Galea, a Canadian Dr. (read: outside of US jurisdiction), who has been linked to PEDs. It's well-known that PEDs cause the body to break down faster. Maybe it's flimsy to put these points together... but maybe it's not. Until the PGA enacts a drug policy similar to MLB's or NFL's, I doubt we'd ever get a full picture here.

Knowing full well I'll get called a "hater" (which is confounding to me, since I don't know the guy on a personal-enough level to do that) just for entertaining your question. I doubt we'll ever really know the truth, though.

my opinion..because he was caught. he was winning majors right til he got caught, all the time cheating. it is only when his wife found out things started to slide, in terms of his golf performances.

He became "bad" because of physical problems. 2013 he won 5 times and was Player of the Year. Does that sound "bad:?
