Why do I never get "best" answer, like I used to?

No you would know if you had been reported. The asker is the only one who can give a best answer now and many just ask and for what ever reason, don't bother to award a best answer. Maybe if there was more of an incentive to awarding best answer, more askers would pick a best answer.

No I( doubt that it's a matter of being flagged, but more in that with voting gone, many ask questions, but after getting an answer return to award someone a best answer. If you were reported it show show in a loss of points. If an asker likes your answer and they award best answer you will get it, otherwise it may remain unresolved. The number of best answers awarded, has dropped in one aspect, however askers are doing a bit better now, than they used to. Getting best answers while nice, isn't everything to me and some others, but the general quality of those answers. That can be more rewarding,then when you do get one chosen, it's icing on the cake (for myself at least).

After YA! removed the voting system, only the asker can choose whether to give best answer to their question or not.

I haven't got any best answer even after answering a lot of questions. The people who ask questions won't bother to give best answer. They just read the answer and move on.

It's not because you have been reported or flagged. It's because many users are not bothering to give best answer.

The biggest reason for many people getting fewer best answers is that Yahoo removed the voting feature, many users do not pick best answer for various reasons, some do not know, some do not want to play favorites, that latter one applies to the more subjective categories.

There is no longer any voting, so fewer questions are getting BAs. It is now up to the person who asked the question to choose a BA - and a lot don't bother.

It is just possible your answers are not good enough.

Everyone wants their answer to be selected as BA and to get that you have to answer well, and no longer just leave a quick comment

It will be reflected in your BA %. Mine has now dropped below 30%

No such thing, askers are picky, often they just ignore to chose a best answer at all.

Best answers are hard to get by, that's why you are told to do your little dance of joy.
