i killed faendal before i made him my follower, is he still alive, or is he gone for good?

I'm on xbox

Does he truly die?

If not where can I find him?

    Faendal is a non essential character so therefore once you kill him he is dead forever (unless you reload a save.) Even when he is your follower you can still kill him. Most followers work the same way except for followers that are essential to a specific story line eg. Aela The Huntress or Vilkaas

    Reload a previous save or you will not be able to interact with him again. He's gone when you kill him
