    I would try out the Roomy Bookmarks Toolbar add-on. I think it will do exactly what you're wanting to do.

    I have the Firefox Browser, but how can I shorten the Width on the Bookmarks Toolbar

    like instead having the complete word i.e. Yahoo - just the Symbol?
