How to edit two gifs in Gimp 2.8?
I want to edit 2 or more gifs into a sort of collage. I know how to interleave layers. I know that all gifs frames must be the same size and length. The only problem I'm having is positioning the gifs. I open one gif then link all of the images so that I can move it into position as one. But the problem occurs when trying to edit the second gif. How can I link all the layers to the second gif apart from the first? Every time I try the images all move together but I want the two gifs to stay separate. How do I do this?

You would need to link all the layers in the one gif using the link icon in the layers palette - but only selecting the layers for that gif alone - then you can move all the layers as one by using the move tool.
Then you would need to undo all those links, and link the next gif's layers only.
Perhaps better if you do the positioning before you do the interleaving. Otherwise you will just confuse yourself.
Another way to do it would be to utilize layer groups - and select the group icon in the layers dialog, then use the move tool. Again, you'd need to do that before interleaving.
