Has anyone experienced problems with ejection of spent 22 WMR from semi automatics?

It's been a few years since I did much shooting and some of the 22 WMR that I used in my handgun would not eject. I remember a discussion several years ago the cu pressure of them was too high and that was the problem. Anyone have any more information?

Should we guess which semi auto 22 mag pistol you used? More than likely it was an AMT Automag 22. I do seem to recall that there was a problem with certain brands and weights of ammo with those, but since I never owned one nor planned to I never delved too deep into the basics of it. I think a good supply of todays modern high quality 22 mag ammo will solve whatever ejection issues you might have had. If not, I would have a gunsmith address the problems.

Paco Kelly wrote a very good article on those AMT's. http://www.gunblast.com/Paco_22AutoMag.htm

It appears that AMT recommends ONLY the use of one brand of ammo for it, and you need to especially pay attention to the article where he describes how the chamber is made.

give your weapon a good cleaning and check the ejector rod for cracks.
