They asked my dad to do MRI?

My father has been feeling dizzy for 3 or 4 days now, and the dizziness doesnt go away. He can hardly balance himself, he walks as if he is drunk, so he walks really slowly. Theres nothing wrong with his ears, his blood pressure is high (140 something). He doesnt eat, he will vomit if he did. And he even throws up water sometimes.

What are all these symptoms for? And what could show in the MRI?

Sorry to hear that Nobody :(. My first thought would be to go to http://symptoms.webmd.com/#introView . I am not very familiar with the site. After entering in the sympoms it gives a rundown of possible conditions, the greatest of which is Acute stress reaction which obviously isn't something an MRI would show. I can only Google. The symptoms imo does suggest an inner ear condition or Vertigo http://www.uihealthcare.org/vertigo/ . I understand you said there is nothing wrong with his ears but I am wondering if that is yours and his opinion or a medical opinion offered by an ear , nose and throat doctor. Because there isn't any pain doesn't mean there isn't anything wrong. The MRI would see things such as brain tumors and injuries, stroke, dementia. In the head, trauma to the brain can be seen as bleeding or swelling. Other abnormalities often found include brain aneurysms, stroke, tumors of the brain, as well as tumors or inflammation of the spine. I think they don't have a clear picture yet so they are exploring all options. His BP isn't high enough to be a plausible suspect because for one the systolic pressure(I am assuming that 130 is the first number) is only borderline high and not at a level that would cause these symptoms over a period of days. My blood pressure is routinely 130/80 which does suggest I am not that healthy but my point is that that blood pressure wouldn't cause all these issues.
