What aftermarket stock do you reccomend for my M1A?

Update:

I am thinking of getting a ProMag stock for $249 but have paid the price for going cheap before. Should I just save up for the $750 EBR stock?

Update 2:

I have two. Both have the classic wood stock. I want to make one more comfortable to shoot at the range.

I like wood stocks, Though I've only ever seen ONE custom stocked M1A. A real beauty. Likely an old 1950's job. Anyway, a cheap stock is a cheap stock. You'll never be fully happy. So save up and get that EBR one or a variant. Can't ever go wrong.

I have a lesser goal of restocking a solid Savage 110 30-06 from it's plastic stock to a custom wood one. Sure, it'll cost more than I paid for the whole rifle. BUT, My rifle and I want it to shoot for me and last more than a lifetime. Which it will then be worth the money.

Sorry, I won't recommend any other stock. You already have narrowed down your choices...now we're haggling "price"...By all means, get the $750 one...no question and I'm sure you will get many fine years of use out of it.

Leave it the way it is. If you want to customize a rifle, go buy a Mosin-Nagant or a Ruger 10/22.

No, you should leave it like it is with the GI stock. I cannot understand why people want to waste money "accessorizing" a perfectly good firearm.

Avoid anything that ProMag makes. The EBR SAGE should be your top choice if you feel you must queer up a perfectly good rifle.
