Problems with rendering videos with Roxio Capture editing software?

I've had quite a share of problems with my Roxio. Now its mostly my editing software. All I get it crappy renders. I've tried every setting and it doesn't seem to get better. When I attempted to consult Youtube videos, I don't have the same output renders as they do at all. The video is bad at best when it's suppose to be HD and the audio is barely audible. Not only that, I can't send my best product to a friend either when it does finish rendering but at the same time, I really don't want to upload these videos just yet.

The settings I get that even work are:

AVC (Better, Good, Small)

Windows Media 8 Best quality based for VBR Broadband

To be honest, this crap almost made me wish I hadn't have wasted my money. I just want to get a decent video to post and show to friends. How can I fix the setting for a good video?
