Having a child before marriage becoming more common?

Seems like it's becoming more common to have a baby before marriage. Do you think more people get married first or have a child first? Hard to tell...

Me and my son's mother had him without being married. And thank God for that. When she cheated on me it made it a whole lot easier to end things between us rather than going through a divorce. People with their, "it keeps you committed to your offspring" BS don't know what they're talking about. My son is 14 now and I have had him on my own with zero help from his mother for nine years now. I am 100% committed to him and I do an excellent job of being both mother and father to him. And his home is not broken. Our home is perfect.

Because these people know, why do you need a piece of paper to prove your love?

Why get the government involved into your relationship?

You *should* get married first. That way, each person is committed to each other - and their offspring.
