MacBook Air would be the best choice. It can run osx and windows and is notably well designed. It will definitely turn a lot of heads. It's also is more than enough to be used for anything you throw at it regardless of what subject you're using for.

What are you looking for in a computer? Speed, productivity, ease of access? Honestly I would suggest Mac because windows 8 is a baddy.

Dont go for Lenovo Yoga, its not worth it, go with Mac i suggest as per the feature and look

I would suggest the mac as the Lenovo is not worth it and the surface is horrible as a laptop
If yoyr school uses microsoft compatibility won't be an issue as macs run microsoft office of better free software
