POLL: Would you call the police in this situation?

1. You are a parent in a children's playground pushing your child on a swing.

2. Another parent with their child, asks you 'How much longer are you going to be using the swing for?'

3. You say '5 minutes longer'.

4. The other parent is not happy with your answer, and then proceeds to stop the swing you are pushing your child on, and then puts their arms around your child and forcibly takes your child off the swing and then puts their own child on the swing, and starts pushing their child on the swing.

Would you call the police if you experienced this?

This question is based on this news story:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2740248/Mu...

Update:

The important bits to consider are that:

- they forced the swing your child was on to stop, and then

- they forced your child off the swing.

I would definitely call the police, as long as I had managed to control my temper and not decked the guy.

I think the mother did the right thing. The man had no right to stop the swing, and take hold of the child. The swings are there for all the kids to enjoy, not just some impatient father, who thinks he has more rights than everyone else. There is other equipment there, that the man could have amused his child with while they were waiting for a swing.

Personally, I would just punch them in the face and be like f•ck off. Then sit happily as everyone flees and police come. But that's just the kind of person I am. Sure, call the cops. Say they assaulted my child. Replace their child on the swing with yours? That would lead to my scenario, though. Just do something that makes them understand that they can't act like a retard. However, I do believe that police are overused and it would be a waste of taxpayer money.

I would definitely call the police. No one touches another's child in that way. The man apparently

had a problem. The first person was there and he had no right to but in. He should have been

    arrested for touching the child.

I would call the Police and an ambulance for the other child's parent.

NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE, touches a child of mine without paying a heavy price.

I'd be like sure, fine, play with the effin swing if that's what makes you happy. I don't want drama so I would just leave and let that loser play.

If I were in that situation, I would be pretty darn upset, but I would try not to let my werewolf rage destroy everything (poor anger management... Lol) I would tell them "you have no right to touch my child" and I would go buy my kid ice cream to make up for it lol

Source(s): I like ice cream XD

It was the right thing to do. He shouldn't touch the kid.

however bizarre this story sounds lol a person has the right to call the police if they feel threatened or intimidated, the asshole involved needs to know that his behaviour is not acceptible in society..............
