Question about windows and speaker volume?

In a few days, I will get external speakers for my laptop (Genius GX Gaming SW-G2.1 1250) and I've been thinking about one thing. How can I configure my Windows volume to properly match with the volume on my speaker controller, or synchronize if possible? I'm sorry if that doesn't make any sense but I can't think of a better way to ask it. Simply, there will be 2 audio controllers (one within Windows and the speaker controller) that I can adjust and I would like to somehow set it so that I can only adjust one of them (preferably the speaker controller) and not have to worry about the other one.

Update:

I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

unless you can find some easy program to do it, the easiest way i've found is to put your windows sound on rougly 40% and then use the speaker adjuster to adjust the volume from there. more or less configure one of them to a prefered setting and then use the other controller for general volume adjustment.
