Why are McDonald's employees so rude?

I live in louisiana and I stopped going to mcdonalds about 2 years ago from horrible service and extremely rude employees. I finally decided to give it another try because I love mcnuggets (I don't care what's in them, they taste good). So my girl friend and I went, she order a happy meal without the box and toy and I ordered a 20 piece mcnuggets. We waited five minutes and finally received the food and left (I should have checked the food). Got home and 4 plain burgers were in the bag. There was nobody in line behind or in front of us (that's gotta be impossible). I stormed back and asked them to correct my order. I then heard someone in the back say "who the f*** wants chicken nuggets!!".

I got my order and checked the bag to find that they gave me only mcnuggets. Gave it back and asked for a refund, the lady asked "what foe?" I told her and then they finally gave me the happy meal. I WILL NEVER EAT AT MCDONALDS AGAIN.

I don't have this problem. The employees at my local McDonald's are always nice. On the rare occasion that my order has been wrong, I've sent in a comment from the website, and gotten an apology email plus coupons via snail mail.

Too bad you had to experience that. All businesses have employees who have bad days. They should leave their bad mood at home and be professional at work but it happens. I generally get a manager when an employee is rude. No need to let is fester, and the employyee needs to know that being rude is not acceptible.

Because they can't get the $15 an hour they deserve.

Because they can be and get away with it.

I have not had a problem with rude employees at McDonalds, what I have had problems with is their not being able to give correct change,as an example: I once bought something for $3.49 and gave the cashier $10 and she gave me change as if I had given her $5 I have had problems like this at different locations.

Maybe if most of them were paid a living wage, they would have a better reason to respect their jobs and work environment.
